Power Women of Queens (2025)

Melora Chang Honored at 2025 Power Women of Queens Event

Melora Chang, Vice President of GAMCO Corporation, has been honored as one of Schneps Media’s 2025 Power Women of Queens.

At a local event, Melora joined an inspiring roster of women leaders. Spanning 30+ years, the award recognizes key women across government, medicine, education, aviation, social work, construction, and other services. GAMCO also joined the network of sponsors, helping to fund the event and to secure the future of Power Women awards for years to come.

The award event gathered hundreds of guests and honored over 50 Power Women, as well as recognizing around 20 returning ICONS for their continued achievements.

Lelina Chang, President of GAMCO, who was recognized in 2024, also attended the event as a Power Women ICON. Melora and Lelina were the only representatives honored from the manufacturing industry.

Melora joined the GAMCO team at a pivotal point during COVID, ready to help tackle many challenges faced by manufacturers at the time.

Her aim has been expanding GAMCO’s nearly 40-year impact on its community by strengthening our commitment to sustainability, supporting environmental initiatives, and addressing community needs—particularly food insecurity among the elderly in NYC and disaster relief for wildfires.

Bringing her expertise in Advanced Business Analysis, Operations, Management, and Marketing Management, Melora has worked to update and modernize GAMCO’s image and create a wider online presence. She has also been a driving force behind growth and innovation, from strategic supply-chain overhaul and expanding our product offerings, to securing  key partnerships and GAMCO’s MWBE status.

As Vice President, she encourages and mentors upcoming leadership within GAMCO, including several of our own “Power Women.”

Melora was also featured in the New York Real Estate Journal (NYREJ) as one of their 2024 and 2025 Women in Construction, as well as appearing as one of their 2023 “Ones to Watch” Industry Leaders
