Lelina Chang Honored at 2024 Power Women of Queens Event
Lelina Chang, President of GAMCO Corporation, has been honored as a 2024 Power Women of Queens.
At a local event organized and hosted by Schneps Media, Lelina joined an inspiring roster of women leaders across government, medicine, aviation, social work, and other services. This year marks the 30th year anniversary of Schneps Media’s Power Women awards.
Over 550 guests attended the event, including Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, New York State Senator Joseph Addabbo, Jr., and New York State Assembly Member David Weprin. Lelina Chang was one of only two honorees representing manufacturing companies.
Since joining the GAMCO team, Lelina has been a key driving force behind growth and innovation. She’s worked with her team to tackle outdated systems, processes and data and modernize Gamco’s digital infrastructure. Always looking forward to the future, Lelina has played a crucial role the planning of succession of workforce skills, technologically advanced “smart” manufacturing, rigorous development of high-performance products, community engagement and partnerships, and more.
Lelina also encourages and mentors upcoming leadership within the organization, including several of GAMCO’s own “power women.”
In recognition of this award, Lelina was featured on the home page of USGlass Magazine, as well as the home page of the NGA’s Glass Magazine.
Lelina was also recently featured in the New York Real Estate Journal (NYREJ) as Exec of the Month for January 2024, as well as appearing as one of their 2023 “Ones to Watch” Industry Leaders.
